*Llanfyllin Workhouse (where they hold the Workhouse Festival) in mid Wales is holding some short courses in 2010: permaculture, puppetry, stone carving, etc

*There will be no Square Festival in 2010

*New festival on Ynys Mon in late May 2010: The Trip Festival (link to Facebook page)

*Gerrion Jones' Punk Forever exhibition is currently showing at the Gwynedd Museum and Art Gallery in Bangor. It runs from 16th January until 20th February 2010 and includes original and rare work by artists such as Jamie Reid, Billy Childish and James Cauty. *The Snowdonia Society website, their next public lecture will be on Prehistory in the National Park at 7pm on 11th February in Bethesda, call 01690 720287 to book

*Llanberis Mountain Film Festival is back on 5-7 March 2010

*Bearded Theory festival, Derbyshire, May, not in Wales but has quite a nice lineup...

*Sometimes supports Mountainsafe , a joint initiative between North Wales Police, Snowdonia National Park Authority and the North Wales Mountain Rescue Association to encourage people to think and prepare before heading into the mountains; there have been so many incidents in Snowdonia this year, and the rescue services are volunteers, don't risk your life and that of others, take the right equipment, check weather forecasts, and be aware hill walking and climbing can be hazardous
